The movie takes place about 60 years after the events of The Matrix Revolutions.At the end of the original trilogy, Neo (Keanu Reeves) and Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) died defeating Agent Smith and saving both humans and machines, bringing peace between the two worlds.But in Resurrections, both are alive again — resurrected by the Machines and reinserted into a new version of the Matrix.Neo is living once again as Thomas Anderson, a famous video game designer.He created a game trilogy called “The Matrix,” based on his “dreams” — which were actually his real memories from the earlier films.He believes those memories are delusions, managed with therapy and medication from his Analyst (Neil Patrick Harris), who appears to be helping him with mental health issues.But secretly, the Analyst is the new architect of this Matrix — controlling Neo through emotional manipulation and blue pills.Neo keeps seeing a woman named Tiffany — a wife and mother who looks exactly like Trinity, but she doesn’t remember him.
