The film begins in prehistoric times, showing a massive Megalodon at the top of the ancient food chain. It kills a T-Rex on the beach — a dramatic reminder that this shark is nature’s ultimate predator.A few years after the events of The Meg, Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) now works with Jiuming Zhang (Wu Jing) — the brother of Suyin Zhang from the first film — at the Mana One research station.They’re studying and containing three Megalodons that were captured and raised in a controlled environment. One of them, a young female named Haiqi, has a close bond with Jiuming.Jonas also works as an eco-warrior, stopping illegal ocean dumping operations.The team plans a mission to explore the Mariana Trench again, where the Megs originally came from.They use high-tech submersibles to travel deep below the thermal layer — but this time, they discover something shocking.Meanwhile, a luxury island resort called Fun Island becomes ground zero for chaos when the escaped Megs and the giant octopus attack.
