Maleficent : Mestress of evil

Several years after the events of the first film, Aurora rules as Queen of the Moors, with Maleficent as her guardian and godmother. When Prince Phillip proposes marriage, their union seems to promise peace between the human and fairy worlds.

However, Queen Ingrith—Phillip’s mother—harbors dark intentions. She secretly plots to destroy the fairies and drives a wedge between Maleficent and Aurora. After being betrayed and wounded, Maleficent discovers her origins and meets others of her kind—the Dark Fae, powerful winged beings exiled from the human world.

The story builds toward an epic battle between humans and fairies, testing Maleficent’s love for Aurora and her capacity for forgiveness.
